If you would like to live and work in the heart of the English Lake District, Newlands Adventure Centre can offer a variety of seasonal positions. From March to October we employ a small, residential team to assist in the operation of our activity holidays. Our staff are the key to our success and we take selection seriously, they must be prepared to work hard and play hard in order to be an integral part of our team. Applicants for all positions must be prepared to produce a recent, satisfactory police record, convictions history, as all posts give substantial access to young people. Recruitment starts in September each year for a springtime start, so please do get in touch if you would like to be considered for a post.

Applicants for this position must hold a minimum of two National Governing Body coaching awards, a first aid certificate and have some experience of living and working in a busy, children’s outdoor activity centre. WE ARE RECRUITING NOW.

To assist the chef in the preparation of meals for guests and staff and maintain a clean and hygienic environment in all food preparation areas. To wash all pots, trays, utensils and equipment used in Food preparation. Applicants must be able to work without constant supervision. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage. WE ARE RECRUITING NOW.

To supervise and work alongside the Domestic Assistants cleaning the centre and assisting with the preparation of packed lunches and service of meals. To have overall responsibility for the cleanliness of the Centre, the laundry, cleaning stock and Domestic Staff. Experience with staff supervision and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage.
Applicants should have a history in quality catering for large numbers, and a proven ability to manage all aspects of running a busy kitchen. To be responsible for the ordering and stock rotation of all foodstuffs, supervision of other kitchen staff, and the maintenance of a clean and hygienic environment in the workplace.
